While Mustangs are at home during a global pandemic, they are making, creating, designing, and collaborating with fellow students, teachers, and parents. Check out stories of inquiry, innovation, and impact in MV Home Edition.

Preschool
Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week! Although students couldn’t celebrate their teachers in person, that didn’t stop Preschoolers from making signs at home to honor their favorite Mount Vernon teachers! See the tweet

Middle School
At the beginning of the school year, Middle School Prefects set community norms for their respective grade levels. Sticking with those norms, Grade 6 Prefects hosted a “Family Meeting” of more than 60 Mount Vernon students for compliments, games, and connection. See the tweet

Lower School
In the spirit of sharing the well, Lower School students wrote letters of encouragement to the residents at Mount Vernon Village. “With restricted social activities, these students brightened the residents’ day while building their own empathy muscles. Win-win!” See the tweet

Upper School
Upper School faculty and staff also felt the love during Teacher Appreciation Week! They used a virtual message board to share their heartfelt appreciation for each other. Celebrating coaches, nurses, fellow chaperones from Interim trips, and colleagues, there was no shortage of love! View the Kudos Board
